A B O U T
Mars & Other Planets was created in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2023 by singer-songwriter Marissa Douglas.
Since then, they've grown into an alt-rock trio with a truly unique arrangement & sound: baritone guitar, keys, vocals, drums.
The band draws influence from pop, grunge, folk, progressive rock, doom metal, jazz, and musical theatre. They captivate listeners & audiences through clever storytelling, memorable melodies, and dramatic shifts in timing, key, and mood.
The band's third record, "Dialectics," explores duality and opposing extremes through theatrical vocals and rich instrumentation.
